Zillow dominates the U.S. real estate search market, with approximately 60%-70% of home buyers utilizing its apps and websites. depending on which report you read.

Zillow does not make the best Tour on the market, but it does do the job competently and it opens doors on Zillow that no other product can. Remember as we go through these examples, we are talking only about Zillow.com and to some extent Trulia.com (a Zillow subsidiary). Other sites like REColorado - the actual site your agent uses to "list" your property which ALL these other sites pull data from - Homes.com, Realtor. com, Redfin.com do not exhibit these preferences. The question is how much you believe Zillow dominates the market.
Zillow Showcase and 3D Tour Highlight
Only Zillow 3D Tours are highlighted in search results on Zillow.com and given some preference by the algorithm that chooses which listings to show you when you submit a query. Any other tour you submit is actively buried by Zillow - we will return to the mechanics of that below.
If you really want priority placement on Zillow.com you can purchase "Showcase", a premium, AI-powered listing service. In addition to the fee, you must qualify for the purchase by using professional photography, a Zillow 3D Tour, and an interactive floorplan also generated by the Zillow app. This floorplan is not unique, but it is very good.
The 3D Tour and Floorplan is easy to find.
A 3D Tour made with their proprietary app will be prominently displayed and available right next to your main picture at the top of the page. This incorporates seamlessly with the other images you have. In a Showcase listing, Zillow will further integrate your tour into the listing by highlighting different areas in your property.
Now let's see what happens if you DO NOT use Zillow's app...

Non-Zillow 3D Virtual Tours

This is a 3D Tour made with a software named CloudPano:
You will notice immediately that there is a "room" in the air at 400 feet. This customization is not available in Zillow's app. As a matter of fact we can not touch the images at all, they get uploaded directly to Zillow and we have no control over the process. People who are distrustful of virtual enhancements, sky switching, object/clutter removal, and other techniques used widely in the industry might say this is good.
If you submit a tour made by CloudPano, Matterport, iGuide, Kuula, Truvu, or any of the other multitudes of software available that make a higher quality tour, this is where Zillow places your tour in the listing:
Final Thoughts
